For the Jeu de Paume, the Microtruc collective imagined Les Trucs, objects that are distributed by being passed on from hand to hand according to a predefined protocol. They are geolocated on a map to show their journeys in real time. The idea is to confront networks and territories by questioning the extent, reach and morphology of our networks.

Protocol: each week, each member of Microtruc confides a « Truc » ("thing") to a trustworthy individual. The temporary owner of a « Truc » must then confide it to someone within 24 hours, and is instructed to send an e-mail describing the « Truc » as well as the context and circumstances in which it was exchanged.

The « Trucs » are never shown to anyone but the individuals who have it in hand.

A Christmas candy, a ketchup Knacki, a thing that you're always fidgeting.

It was 7:05 pm on 18 December 2010, in my apartment in Paris, when I was handed this soft squishy red thing. without a thought, we toasted its arrival, Julien, the Truc and I. I wonder if objects that take on a form of life also have their own personality. so I wanted to read its horoscope. This little thing is Sagittarius ascendant Cancer.

Example of a message received by someone who passed on Julien's Truc on 18 December 2010.
