As the map scrolls by, borders are revealed… Composed of several bits of Google Maps, Yellow Road is a collage of maps that shows a yellow road travelling horizontally across different countries. This road traverses a new world where geography comes together and then pulls apart, where countries cross borders and overlap to form a single geopolitical space.
The map unscrolls like a papyrus.
The project exists both online and as a scrolling map object. Thus, readers can experience the territory by scrolling the object as if they were scrolling horizontally on the Web.
